Recipe: Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Asteroids

In this episode, we learned that NASA has a “Planetary Defense Coordination Office” in charge of keeping an eye on the night sky for any falling asteroids headed our way. Talk about things that make you say “WOW!” Thanks NASA!

Here’s something else to make you say wow: Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Asteroids! They come together in a flash and like asteroids are truly out of this world!!!

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Makes: approximately 30 asteroid cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 ¼ cups quick cooking oats

Wow-To:

1. In a medium sized saucepan combine butter, sugar, cocoa and milk. Heat over medium heat until bubbling. Stir for one minute.

2. Add peanut butter, vanilla extract and oats and stir to combine.

3. Drop by spoonful onto a cookie sheet.

4. Refrigerate until cool and hardened.

5. Enjoy!!!
