Supervillain Superbugs Conversation Starters

1. Hand washing is the best thing you can do to fight off the superbugs – but it can be pretty boring without some entertainment. Work as a songwriting team with a family member to make a 20 second song to sing every time you scrub (or to remind each other to wash up)!
2. Penicillin was the first antibiotic but it was invented by accident. Have you made any accidental discoveries that have helped you solve a problem?
3. There’s a microscopic war going on in the dirt! Imagine shrinking down to the size of bacteria and jumping in the soil. Draw a picture or a comic strip of the good guys (penicillin mold) and the bad guys (staphylococcus, E. Coli, Salmonella) fighting it out. Who will win?
